What is Crypted Mail?
Crypted Mail is the secure email component of Crypted. It combines a private mailbox with a design focused on encrypted communication, minimal server trust, reduced data retention and protected Crypted-to-Crypted delivery.
Secure mail and standard email are not the same trust model.
Messages exchanged entirely between Crypted users can follow the strongest Crypted privacy model. When mail is delivered to an external email provider, that provider's infrastructure, policies and security become part of the communication path.

One Crypted account provides a focused private mailbox for durable correspondence and access to Crypted Chat for live encrypted conversations. Mail is intended for correspondence that needs to remain available; live chat uses a deliberately ephemeral model.
